PC Cleaner That Works Well Enough
Total PC Cleaner - Free Disk Space Clean Up, Optimize Memory & Windows System is a free cleaner program meant to boost productivity by clearing out your PC's cache and junk files. It scans your whole computer to clean up unnecessary files, speed up your PC, and boost its performance.
A Competitive World
PC cleaner programs will always be present from every computer brand. They strive for optimization on their own products, but they also won’t hesitate to compete with each other. Some cleaners come with a price tag as it flaunts its ability to clean better than others. Some are fully free and can compete with even the most expensive ones. Whatever the choice, all of them share similar features you can easily find in your own computer’s built-in cleaner. Their first and foremost priority is clearing out your cache and junk files, which are apparently just taking up important space on your computer’s memory. Caches aren’t much of a problem on most computers due to their tiny file size—some are even automatically deleted. However, cleaners focus on this, adamant on “sweeping” your PC clean and keeping it spic and span. It won’t actually boost your computer performance much since caches aren’t scattered and won’t bog down your speed most of the time. Your storage will be a bit bigger, though, so at least you can use that space for more important things. In an odd way, it does boost up productivity.
Not Bad of a Cleaner
Microsoft Store has a reputation of offering products that don’t really satisfy you, but surprisingly, Total PC Cleaner isn’t a total flop. It performs as well as other cleaner programs, fast and efficient in scanning your hard drive to find unimportant junk lying about. With just a few clicks, you yourself can also selectively remove files from different categories of cache storage and similar locations. From system caches to browser caches, it can give you a thoroughly-clean PC that won’t have extra weight to it. This PC cleaner also locates and removes large files you haven’t opened for months since inactivity usually means you might have no need for them anymore. You can also do deep scans and sort your downloads with Total PC Cleaner, so your new files can be inspected and won’t make its folder a cluttered mess. However, despite this cleaner’s satisfying performance, you need to understand that the actions that will really optimize your PC memory are actions that most cleaners don’t do—such as clearing your browser history and disabling unnecessary startup apps to improve your computer’s boot time. Even the built-in Disk Cleanup tool can do Total PC Cleaner’s job.
There Are Better Programs, Though
Since this program is free, there’s no reason not to try it for yourself. However, the best cleaner programs, such as CCleaner, go deeper than Total PC Cleaner can. There’s no need to go out of your way to install a third-party program for the task, either. If you feel like it, though, Total PC Cleaner is at least guaranteed to be able to finish its duty for the day, despite sweeping slowly sometimes.
